Our Mission Today

The Planting Giants Foundation empowers Maryland and Washington,DC’s youth to become the architects of their own futures. By integrating clinical mental health therapy with high-level training in AI innovation and music production, we provide the mentorship and technical tools necessary for teens to navigate their emotional well-being while mastering the industries of tomorrow.

The Challenge
Maryland and DC youth face a dual crisis: a rapidly expanding "skills gap" in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, and a parallel mental health crisis characterized by rising anxiety and limited access to mentorship. Current programs often address these in isolation—offering either technical boot camps or clinical therapy—but rarely both.

Our Solution
Planting Giants Foundation offers a holistic "Growth Environment" that treats emotional resilience as the prerequisite for technical innovation. We bridge the gap between wellness and workforce readiness through
FOUR CORE PILLARS:
(6 week program)
The Strong Roots Programs
Focus: Clinical Mental Health, Mentorship, and Emotional Resilience.
The Concept: This pillar provides the "soil" for growth. It focuses on the internal well-being of the teen, ensuring they have the psychological stability to handle the challenges of innovation and industry.

The Builders Lab
Focus: Technical Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and Coding.
-
AI Prompt Engineering: Training in high-level AI communication, Python basics, and automation tools.
-
Capstone "Giant" Projects: Student teams build AI chatbots or software solutions that solve real-world problems in their local Maryland communities.
-
Tech Ethics & Privacy: Students learn the importance of data security, HIPAA compliance, and the ethical use of technology.
-
Goal: To provide vocational-level technical training that prepares students for the future workforce and high-level engineering careers.

The Giant's Pulse
Focus: Sound Engineering, Music Production, and Vocal Performance.
This program teaches the Science of Sound.
-
The Giant's Pulse (Engineering): Students learn the technical side of the industry—mixing, mastering, and digital signal processing—using the same standards as national recording artist.
-
The Lyric (Creative Agency): Songwriting and vocal arrangement workshops that focus on storytelling, narrative control, and professional-grade performance.
-
Industry Operations: Instruction on music distribution, publishing, and the business of being a "multi-hyphenate" creator.
-
Goal: To turn creative passion into professional-grade assets and technical sound-engineering skills.

The Giant's Podium
The "Giant’s Voice & Podium"
Focus: Public Speaking, Debate, Journalism, and Acting.
The Concept: Mastering the "Weapon of the Word." This program ensures that our Giants can articulate their vision and defend their ideas with authority.
-
The Giant's Podium (Debate): Formal training in rhetoric and logic. Students learn to research, structure arguments, and speak with confidence under pressure.
-
The Voice (Media & Journalism): A student-led media wing where teens act as "Giant Reporters," documenting community events and practicing interview techniques.
-
The Actor’s Presence: Using acting techniques to teach body language, diction, and the "Presence" required to lead in a boardroom or on a stage.
-
Goal: To equip students with the communication skills necessary to advocate for themselves and lead their communities.
The "Integrated Giant" Outcome
When a student completes all four pillars, they don't just leave with a certificate; they leave as a Legacy Architect. They have the mental health tools to stay grounded (Strong Roots), the tech skills to build (Builder Lab), the creative outlet to express (Pulse & Lyric), and the voice to lead (The Podium).
